"Burning Time," The World's Largest Clock |
![]() |
Artist Jim Bowers explains the meaning of his project entitled "Burning Time" project, a major artistic installation that will transform the entire Nevada Burning Man festival into a giant 1-mile long clock. At night three laser beams will shine from the center of the circular city marking minutes, seconds and hours. Twelve 23-foot clock towers will mark each hour on the clock, each tower decorated with artwork from around the world. At the end of the festival, all of the towers will be burned.
