Veteran Firefighting Training
More than 50 military veterans between the ages of 19 and 27 -- members of four veterans California Conservation Corps crews -- are participating in several days of fire and forestry training, both classroom instruction and hands-on field experience. After the May training, they'll work on U.S. Forest Service projects in a program that can lead to journey-level jobs and help their transition to the civilian workforce. Video by Randall Benton.
